چکیده

Remediation of Hg contaminated wastewater can be accomplished by Hg resistant Saccharomyces cerevisiaeA100. The physico-chemical mode of biosorption process is largely dependent on the charge bearing cell surface ligands. Optimum cell growth and multiplication provides the exposure of adequate amount of charged ligands on the cell surface that ultimately facilitate greater rate of biosorption of Hg. Hence, The growth promoting factors like vitamins , amino acids indirectly play a significant role in biosorption process. Thiamine-HCl (2.0μg/ml) and biotin (1.0μg/ml) increases the biosorption upto 95.67% and 96.78% respectively. L(-)Tryptophan (0.75mg/ml) promotes the biosorption upto 90.24%. Complex nutrients are the cheap sources of vitamins, amino acids, metals in trace amounts etc. Among 10 different tested complex nutrients, meat extract and soya been meal show some positive effect where as peptone and rice bran extract significantly declines the biosorption potential of the used biomass. Metabolism in normal pregnancy

During pregnancy, the mother adapts her metabolism to ensure the continuous supply of nutrients to the fetus in order to sustain its exponential growth. Among those nutrients crossing the placenta, glucose is quantitatively the most important, followed by amino acids. Although lipids cross the placenta in much lower proportion than the other nutrients, maternal lipid metabolism is consistently ...

The role of exogenous enzymes in promoting growth and improving nutrient digestibility in poultry

The value of dietary exogenous enzymes in promoting growth and efficiency of feed utilization is well recognized in poultry industry. In a case of high-cost yellow corn, several feed producers are choosing to replace yellow corn with other ingredients that have lower nutritional value like triticale, wheat, barley or sorghum. These crops are rich in non-starch polysaccharides (NSPs), and there ...

Assess Effect of Foliar Application of Seaweed Extract and Amino Acids on Morpho-physiological Characteristics of Gerbera jamesonii Var. Stanza Cut Flowers

BACKGROUND: Biofertilizers, like amino acids, are used to reduce drought stress damage to plants and improve physiological factors, thereby increasing plant yield in arid and semi-arid regions. Seaweed extract has a beneficial effect on plant growth due to its growth hormones and elements such as iron, copper, zinc, cobalt, molybdenum, manganese and nickel, vitamins and amino a...
